What makes You? What Drives You?

Have you ever just taken on a task for the sake of getting it done and discovered a greater learning and insight.  For me that happens when I do the dishes.  Other occasions are when I am being diligent in working on a project and faced with multiple challenges at once that diminish my capacity to participate at 100%.  Those moments when your 7 year old has a melt down over what’s for dinner and mac and cheese is not on the menu, which is exacerbated by a migraine that is so bad you have an upset stomach.  Welcome to life, my life of a single parent, widowed, fully employed and studying part time.  This is my new normal.  I am sure some of you can relate to that picture. In life’s school of learning this week I found some valuable truths that will impact the rest of my life and perhaps yours as well. Comparatively, continued education not matter the format or form (sometimes experience is the educator), has relevance in the professional and personal arenas.  This relevance would be

Wish upon a star, childhood dreams lost or found

Do you remember a moment in your childhood when you starred into the dark sky and whispered under your breath... Star Light, Star Bright, I wish I may, I wish I might,  Have the wish I wish tonight. What drives us to forget those moments and our dreams.  We get lot in others expe

I was that type of person until 2016 when I lost my husband suddenly.  Indiscriminately life decided to rear its ugly inconvenient head and turn my entire life, goals and purpose upside down.  I found myself having to quickley reinvent and as it were re-brand myself.  Yes RE-BRAND myself. The journey I encountered as many of your have heard, often, if not until this moment is  that it is not about the destination but the paths you take.   My risk was to take a leap of faith and discover what I was made of and how I could move from a mourning widow to a dynamic, passionate vibrant woman facing a new normal. My new normal involved finding a passion to be an entrepreneur and build a company that provides services to the community for at risk youth, as well as being a business that provides support to enter
