Studied at the British Royal School of Fine Arts
Studied at Leningrad University
Russian-French Artist
Alexey’s love of art started at a young age long before his distinguished TV Journalism career began.
He has an appreciation for all great people.   In particular his greatest muse is found in the works of Leonardo Da Vinci.
His  inquisitive nature and intellect delves into the state of nature and civilization with impeccable insight.  Rendering depictions in its raw, untapped state, without pretense or planning.

Finding Meaning

After spending some time in the UK, Alexey debuted as an artist in the early 2000’s. The main theme of the Alexey’s works is a declaration of love for the Basque Country, where he spent ten years living in the Metropolitan area of the French city of Biarritz. Many of the paintings became a kind of anthem of
the Basque Country, of its natural landscape and urban environment. The paintings reveal Basque’s everyday life and national traditions. The artwork organically transmits character and the will of the proud Basque people which is reminiscent of Oscar Claude Monet who felt the study of the French country side could be rendered through the voice of a canvas one moment at a time.
With a gentle glance instantly you will fall in love with the lush verdant hills, colorful landscapes and playful architecture.  Each painting has within itself a world that you become mesmerized, even lost.  Scenes depict the nuances of local life at any given moment. An instant snapshot held in time with a brush, canvas and skillful application of paint.

Alexey’s work has repeatedly participated in various exhibitions and fairs in Russia and abroad. The two most recent were “Biarritz. 2013 “- was held in France in the summer of 2013 and opening day “Ogni” was held in London on June 26, 2015.

The latest venture is to break into the US, Australia and British markets.  We all know as entrepreneurs breaking into a market is not easy and having significant help can facilitate such an ambition.

Unsung Extraordinary Hero - A Journey to Fulfilling a Calling to Be a Voice

In the wake of current life situations with COVID-19 Pandemic the word HERO only synonymous with comic books has become a household word. We are in a time and place where we desperately need the visibility and creation of heros, heroines, people who are heroic.  From a college course book in one of my business classes, the definition in this time and space is certainly appropriate. In the introduction, Jeff Sanderfer said, " heroic people - people who shape events, who act rather than watch, who are creative and brave."(1.) This is a moment to ask yourself the hard questions that often we ignore or pass over.  What is the journey or path to becoming a #HERO.  Is it at the root of what we have done most of our life, or did we receive an experience due to external influences or was there a singular internal event that changes our lives.   Perhaps it is best described as a calling or as I read recently a VOCATION, which in latin VOCARE means "to call." Did yo...

Compassion in the Face of Tragedy

Despite our diversity and nationalities we are never immune to tragedy. This life is full of tragedy and frankly it can at times make you disillusioned to if there is any humanity left in the world.  Due to the connections with Facebook and Instagram, half way around the world I find myself crying for the tragedy of those families in Kemerovo a Siberian City in Russia.  On Sunday a fire broke out in a mall, where based on initial reports, the fire alarms were turned off and exits were blocked.  Over 64 people to date have reportedly been lost in the fire or are missing.  The majority of them school age children taking the equivalent of much like our children Spring Break.  This is a senseless loss that the parents will spend years trying to make deal with . Lets gather our collective humanity together and bare this burden for others further afield than we are in this moment. We owe it to them to share this grief for are we not all humans that feel. Plea...
